A Geeks Guide to Conference Going Gear

I have just finished my month of speaking at conferences. They were all great. Today’s #SM301 was especially enjoyable.

One question I get a lot is about my gear bag. All the equipment I’m able to carry around in a very compact setup. So between the conference and the after conference dinner, I shot a quick video explaining all the gear in my bag.

It’s late after a long week that ended in an all day conference so I’m a little more flippant than normal and I kind of rip on a few products. It’s all in jest, to the fan boys out there, please don’t take my comments too seriously.

Don’t forget a power strip. If you need power and other folks have hogged all the outlets, no one will turn you away if you ask to plug in a powerstrip. Plus its a great way to make friends.

Yes, for multi day conferences I do often pack a power strip, but then I have to take my backpack and I’m often lugging around the full laptop then.
