		<description>Hi Tac,
regarding your questions if you should find a publisher or self publish.

I have actually done both and can recommend finding a reputable publisher or finding a third way.

The problem with self publishing is distribution and credibility. Distributors are just as difficult to convince to carry your book as are publishers (who usually have contracts with distributors already.)
The best book on self publishing is:
http://www.amazon.com/Dan-Poynters-Self-Publishing-Manual-16th/dp/1568601425/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1230234261&amp;sr=8-1

However, first writing a book and then trying to get it published is not a great approach either.

Better: Write a killer marketing plan for the publisher, include a sample chapter and TOC and a target audience description and competitors description. Then shop the book proposal around. This way publishers still can influence somewhat what you write and make sure they develop a sellable product. In addition they will get feedback from their salesforce about your book and make it better.

The best book on getting published is
http://www.amazon.com/2009-Writers-Market-Robert-Brewer/dp/1582975418/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1230234828&amp;sr=1-1

Cheers,
