I agree that as far as new media goes the Idaho Dems are winning. Unfortunately, I think as old media goes they are losing. This is a mistake.

We live in a state where most of our citizens get their news from a handful of places (Several prominent newspapers and a local news channels). In a year when Bill Sali should lose handily and Risch should have trouble, I predict that Risch will win and Sali might actually stay in office. (If I have my say both will lose.)

The message isn't getting out to people. How many people do you believe have actually gone out to Youtube and have seen Walt carrying a gun? An endorsement from Cecil is gold in Idaho. However if I hadn't been going to Dem events I wouldn't know about any either of these pieces of information.

The Dem presence in local parades has been terrible. The Dems aren't reminding people what an idiot Sali is, or how Craig screwed up. So while I hope new media will bring the Dems into power, I remain skeptical and predict status quo.

(Biggest news item as of late from Idaho politicians, WRONG LARRY PUT NEXT TO OBAMA ON PIN. That isn't going to bring a Dem win.)
