No company is perfect. No job or no company is right for everyone. That’s because they are run by imperfect people. There are so many options out there, I don’t understand why people stay at jobs they’re unhappy with.

This a great example of how you can’t be someone else. You can read all the books and blogs on how to be like someone else. Your company can try for all its worth to be just like Apple or 37signals or whatever cool company you idealize but you can’t. You have to be your company. It’s good to take lessons learned from others but unless you’re able to apply them, relevantly to your business it won’t do you any good.
