The New Comm Biz Facebook page

I know relatively very little about you my dear reader. Those that regularly share my posts on Twitter, comment here on the blog or that I’ve had the pleasure to meet in person I know a little more about. I’d really like to know more about who you are and what you’re looking to get for your precious time you spend reading the thoughts posted here.

I’ve been on Facebook and Twitter both for over 3 years. I’ve learned a lot about Twitter. Of the two I have focused far more of my attention on Twitter. I have learned that the two are vastly different. Community building, self promotion and marketing have their place in both. You just have to approach both very differently. I understand Twitter far more than I understand Facebook.

Today I set out to change both of these challenges.

Being a self proclaimed cultural phenomenologist, I only know one way to learn something. I have to experience it first hand. (That’s what phenomenologists do, they experience phenomenons) I have successfully built Facebook communities for clients but I want to understand the nuances better.

I invite you to join the Facebook fan page for this blog.

I have no delusions of creating some massively popular page, but I do want to better understand you, my reader. I know there are a lot more of you than comment. I get about 5,000 to 6,000 page views a month and there are about 1800 or so of you that subscribe to the RSS feed. I am very thankful to each and every one of you. It means more than you know that you’re here with me. Now I invite you to join me on Facebook.

As always, feedback appreciated.
