What is wrong with Bit.ly? [Update]

Updated: See below

I love Bit.ly. I love it so much I’ve set up my clients with it. It’s a great tool for tracking clicks and conversations around tweets.

But the last two days, multiple clients of mine have notice after logging in that they were logged in as someone else. Both of these screen grabs are from the same person and neither of them are right.

Anyone else having this problem?

Anyone know of another service that has the same features?

Update: Working with Bit.ly on this now. This seems to be an isolated incident linked to this one account.

  1. I will respond to you via your support message, but that isn't giving us very good information to go on.

  2. Yeah I know but it's all I got. I can't recreate it but at least 4 different people have had the problem.

  3. Ok, well I'm open for a phone call if you still want one. I think it might be due to multiple logins on the same account. Everyone should try to log out – clear their cookies and cache – and have one person try logging in, and if that is successful – log out. Then another person, and repeat.

  4. If you are experiencing this issue – please contact us directly at support at bit dot ly – it's a much more effective way of troubleshooting what could be a corporate or company issue only.

We understand why TACAnderson has posted this here, and while it's a bit awkward and time consuming to try to reply to support @ requests and monitor this issue, we will try to do our best to be responsive in this matter.

If you are experiencing this – it's best to e-mail us directly so we can analyze your issue as it applies to your situation. Also, we probably will have to ask you for more information than you want to post in a forum in order to help you fully!
