Twitter is doing well but we can say the same as you " Twitter should learn from facebook ".
Because no dought facebook is leading network and anyone can study and follow their success path but in terms of twitter it is the very nearest competitor and should try some ways to get more closer or lead.

Having specific accounts on Twitter for different purposes, get that totally. Like I said, I don't think twitter is doing a bad job, but by there own advice, I think they could be doing better. (Can't we all?)

The bigger thing I think Twitter could do is use the Facebook page. They got people there waiting.

While we're on the topic, (I love you Ethan but I got to give you some crap) when are you guys going to do ANYTHING with @hp? They were debating what to do with it when I was there a year ago :)

I dunno man, their whole staff is out there using twitter all the time, @twitterapi is super engaging, etc etc

If they want to keep a channel for a pretty narrow purpose I think it's fine.

(Of course, we use @hpnews similarly to how they use @twitter)

I say: social media tools are tools...use them to build a couch, fix your deck, make a car, cobble some shoes...it's all whatever, right?

On the other side, I do see the value in the "flagship" account being more engaging. But it is what it is.

Ethan
HP
