The Science of Social Media From The US Navy

Just saw a great presentation from the US Navy. I came in late so I wasn’t able to get my computer set up in time to blog the event but the Navy offers all of their presentations on the US Navy SlideShare site so I was able to grab the presentation.

What made this presentation great was that LCDR Kaye Sweetser PhD broke down some very specific types of metrics that move beyond the basic ‘number of fans ‘ measurement and into how to calculate share of voice and sentiment ratio.

I know a PowerPoint and a brief (or even long) blog post can’t do the topic justice but it’s a good start.

Hey Tac, thanks for posting. Just wanted to make a quick correction. The presenter is actually LCDR Kaye Sweetser, Ph.D

Thanks for the clarification. I missed her intro and just took what was listed in the presentation itself.

Cool to see the backend process in place from the assessment I was looking at awhile back - http://bit.ly/bpOucr
